Long-established UK semiconductor company will showcase its global reach and expanding capabilities spanning semiconductor design, development and supply
Maldon, Essex, 28th September 2026: CML Micro, one of the UK’s longest-established semiconductor companies, is exhibiting at Microelectronics UK, taking place at ExCeL London from 29–30 September 2026. Visitors will be able to meet the company on Stand H52.
CML Micro is using the event to showcase its global reach and expanding capabilities and to highlight the company’s contribution to the UK semiconductor industry since 1968.
Today, CML Micro operates from three UK locations: its global headquarters in Essex, a systems engineering centre in Somerset and a design services centre near Cambridge. The company also has offices in China, Singapore and the US, with its global presence further strengthened through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. These have broadened CML Micro’s engineering capabilities and product portfolio across baseband, RF, microwave and mmWave technologies. CML Micro now employs more than 150 people worldwide, offers over 250 products and supplies customers in more than 60 countries.
By combining this global reach with extensive communications and application expertise, the company supports customers throughout the product lifecycle, from initial semiconductor and RF design through product development, application support, production and long-term supply. Its involvement in international standards organisations and industry bodies also provides insight into evolving communications requirements, helping it translate semiconductor innovation into practical, commercially deployable solutions.
“Microelectronics UK provides an important opportunity to showcase the depth and diversity of the UK semiconductor industry,” said Jo Gibbins, Head of Engineering at CML Micro. “CML Micro has evolved considerably since it was founded, but the UK has remained central to our engineering expertise and continued development. By combining that heritage with strategic investment, an expanding technology portfolio and a genuinely global presence, we are well positioned to support the next generation of communications applications.”
Visitors to Stand H52 will be able to explore CML Micro’s technologies for professional and industrial communications, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM), maritime communications, network infrastructure, aerospace and defence. The team will also be available to discuss applications where performance, resilience, interoperability and long-term product availability are critical. For those unable to attend the event, further information about the company’s semiconductor technologies, engineering expertise and global operations can be found here.
