Recently, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recommended the adoption of a single national standard for digital radio in VHF Band II (88–108 MHz). In response, the DRM Consortium has released a detailed statement emphasising the importance of a unified standard to promote efficient broadcasting, enhance sound quality, and expand digital radio's reach across India.
