CML Micro Supports DRM Consortium's Position on Digital Radio in India

06 November 2025

CML Micro proudly announces our continued partnership with the DRM Consortium as we work together to advance digital radio technology. Recently, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) recommended the adoption of a single national standard for digital radio in VHF Band II (88–108 MHz). In response, the DRM Consortium has released a detailed statement emphasising the importance of a unified standard to promote efficient broadcasting, enhance sound quality, and expand digital radio's reach across India.

As a key contributor to the DRM Consortium, CML Micro has actively supported the development of these standards. Our innovations in digital transmission play a pivotal role in shaping the future of broadcasting, ensuring that audiences benefit from superior audio experiences and reliable coverage.

The DRM Consortium underscores that implementing this standard can accelerate India’s transition toward modern broadcasting, reinforcing the country's leadership in the global digital radio landscape. We believe that this initiative not only aligns with global best practices but also positions CML Micro at the forefront of an important technological evolution.

We are committed to supporting the recommendations put forward by the DRM Consortium and are excited about the potential for improved listening experiences for audiences across the country.
